On your arrival day, you will meet with our airport representative near the terminal gate. He will greet you and take you to the hotel. As per the time availability, you will meet with the trek guide and prepare for the trip. You can shop if anything is missing. In the late evening, there will be a welcome dinner organized by the company during which you will meet with other team members.
Manaslu Circuit Trek Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Kathmandu
Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu (1,338m) to Arughat (550m) and continue to Soti Khola (700m); 6-7 hrs
The drive goes along Prithivi Highway. You can see beautiful views of lush green hills, terraced farms, and small settlement areas. Upon reaching Dhading Bensi, you will drive to Arughat. The drive will get bumpy. From Arughat, you will drive towards Soti Khola.
Day 3 Soti Khola to Machha Khola (1,869m); 5/6 hrs
The first day of the trek begins from Soti Khola. Trekking through the forest of sal, you will ascend to Liding (750 m). The trail from here takes you to Khursane. From here, you will trek through small villages and rice terraces to reach Lapresi. Further, the trail gradually descends to Nauli Khola, where you will cross a suspension bridge and reach Machha Khola.
Day 4 Machha Khola to Jagat (1,340m); 6-7 hrs
The trail goes through a narrow gorge. After a few ascends and descends, you will reach near Tharo Khola. Crossing the khola, the trail takes you to Khorlabesi. From here, you trek towards Tatopani, known for natural hot springs. Further, ascend and cross a suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki. The trail then passes by Dobhan and crosses a bridge over Yaru Khola. Gradually climb and cross the west bank of Budhi Gandaki and walk along a river to reach Jagat.
Day 5 Jagat to Deng (1,860m); 6-7 hrs
The trail today passes through dense forests, small mountain villages, and rivers. From Jagat, you ascend towards Salleri and descend to Sirdibas. The trail then continues to Ghatta Khola and crosses a long suspension bridge to reach Philim. Further, trekking through Ekle Bhatti, you will walk on a steep route and cross the Budhi Gandaki river. Trek along the river and pass by a bamboo forest. You will cross Deng Khola to reach Deng village.
Day 6 Deng to Namrung (2,630m); 6-7 hrs
Cross the Budhi Gandaki river and ascend towards a bridge. The trail then heads west up the valley and passes by dense alpine forests. You can see a range of vegetations along the way. Following the trail that goes through Prok village, you continue trekking and cross Budhi Gandaki river several times. Further, you will trek along a narrow gorge and ascend to reach Namrung.
Day 7 Namrung (2,630m) to Samagaun (3,520m); 6 hrs
Leaving Namrung behind, the trail ascends gradually through a forest to Lihi. You can see excellent views of Ganesh Himal, Mt. Siring, and Himal Chuli. From Lihi, the trail descends and crosses the side valley of Simnang Himal. You will then trek through remote villages of Sho, Lho, and Shyala to reach Samagaun. You can see stunning views of Himal Chuli, Manaslu, and Ngadi Chuli as well.
Day 8 Samagaun acclimatization (4,400m)
Today, you will spend the day exploring around Samagaun and visiting nearby beautiful places like Birendra Tal and Manaslu Base Camp. Likewise, you will visit ancient Pungyen Gompa from where excellent views of a glacier are seen. You will get to see the unique lifestyle of the locals and their rich culture.
Day 9 Samagaun to Samdo (3,875m); 6hrs
Leaving Samagaun behind, the trail drops down to Budhi Gandaki river. Cross a bridge over the river and pass by many mani walls. The valley slowly begins to open up, and the views get stunning. Further, you will trek through the forest of birch and juniper to Kermo Kharka. Descend and cross Budhi Gandaki river one more time on a wooden bridge and ascend steeply towards Samdo.
Day 10 Samdo to Dharmasala (4,460m); 3-4 hrs
The trail descends and crosses a wooden bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River. From here, you will ascend and pass by mani walls & colorful prayer flags. Then cross two streams and trek towards Salkha Khola. You will see superb views of Larkya Glacier. Further, the trail ascends towards Dharamsala, which is also known as Larkya La Phedi. The view from this place is phenomenal.
Day 11 Dharmasala to Bimthang (3,590m) via Larkya La Pass (5,125m); 8-10 hrs
Today, you will be crossing Larkya La Pass. You will begin ascending early in the morning to avoid bad weather. Crossing a moraine, you drop down to a small lake. The trail gradually becomes rough and steep. You will then cross a grassy slope and trek towards a frozen lake. From here, you will follow a steep path that leads to the top of the pass. You will get to see tempting views of snow-capped mountains like Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, Himlung Himal, Annapurna II, and so on from the pass. The trail from here onwards descends to a small meadow and continues towards Bimthang.
Day 12 Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m); 6 hrs
From Bimthang, you will begin descending, enjoying surreal views of Mt. Manaslu, Himlung Himal, and Lamjung Himal. The trail crosses a high pasture and a bridge over Dudh Khola River. Further, you will trek through a lovely forest of rhododendron and continue walking along a narrow valley. You will pass by Karche and Gho villages before reaching Tilije.
Day 13 Tilije to Syange (1,136m)
After having a warm breakfast, you will begin trekking towards Syange. The trail slowly descends along with small villages and lush forests. You can see wonderful mountain views along the route.
Day 14 Trek Syange to Besisahar and drive to Kathmandu; 6-7 hrs
Today is the last day of the trek. You will trek to Besisahar, from where you will take a scenic drive to Kathmandu. It is going to be a long ride. Get ready to witness some beautiful scenery. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you head to the hotel. In the evening, meet with the team for the last time at a complimentary dinner organized by the company.
Day 15 Final departure
Fly back to your home today. You will be escorted to the airport according to your flight takeoff time.
