Opened in 2011, Mardi Himal Trek is an adventurous and off-the-beaten trekking trail in the east of the very famous Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The trail offers as remarkable views as ABC Trek and is less challenging than it, which makes Mardi Himal Trekking a perfect package for someone looking for a quaint yet rewarding route in the western Himalayas. Moreover, Mardi Himal Trek 15 Days is a perfect package to introduce yourself to the off beaten track in the Himalayas.

Mardi Himal Trekking trail goes through dense forests, where you will see a diverse range of flora and fauna. The trail also includes remote and isolated settlement areas. Trekking through bloomed rhododendron forests, you will ascend to the Mardi Himal Base Camp that offers breath-taking landscapes. Along the way, you will get to see stunning views of the Himalayan mountains like Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m), Mt. (6,441 m), Mardi Himal (5,587 m), and many others.

To make the journey even wilder, we have added Chitwan National Park to our Mardi Himal Trek itinerary. You will explore the national park and do activities like deep jungle walk, Elephant/Jeep Safari, bird watching, canoeing, etc. You will also visit the elephant breeding center, where you will see baby elephants and prepare food for them. Likewise, there will be a short visit to the indigenous Tharu village that enriches the journey with rich culture and traditions.

Mardi Himal Trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara that continues towards Pothana. From here, you will steeply ascend towards Forest Camp through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, birch, hemlock, etc. On the way, you might come across wildlife like monkeys, leopard, deer, and numerous species of birds. The trail then gradually climbs to High Camp via Low Camp. Further, you ascend to the Upper Viewpoint to witness gorgeous sunrise and descend to Siding Village. The trail drops down to Lumre and takes you back to Pokhara. Before driving back to Kathmandu, you will visit Chitwan National Park.
