Nar Phu Valley is a hidden gem tucked between Annapurna and Manaslu region. The Nar Phu Valley Trek is an adventurous and wild journey in the western Himalayas that offers an unforgettable experience and breath-taking views. As Nar Phu valley falls under a restricted area in Nepal, only a handful of travelers visit this place every year. That means the trail is less crowded, and the region is unspoiled. Opened in 2002, Nar Phu Valley Trekking has won the hearts of all the travelers who visited this place.

To be exact, the Nar village and Phu village are situated in the northeast near Chame, Annapurna region. As both of these villages remained untouched for centuries from the outside world, the cultural heritage is well preserved. During the trek, you will get to witness the simple yet very gratifying lifestyle of the locals, their ancient practices, and precious traditions. The trail passes through several remote villages, narrow gorges, canyons, dense forests, high passes, and glaciers.

Nar Phu Valley Trek crosses two high and difficult passes called Kang La Pass (5,322m) and Thorong La Pass (5,416m). Both of these passes offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Likewise, you will get to explore one of the holiest temples in Nepal, Muktinath Temple. The trail then goes along the Kali Gandaki River, and you will see the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. You will see panoramic views of numerous Himalayan mountains like Annapurna Range (8,091 m), Mt. Nilgiri (7,061 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Mt. Manaslu (8,156 m), Lamjung Himal (6,972 m), Pisang Peak (6,091 m), Gangapurna (7,455 m), Tilicho Peak (7,134 m), and several others throughout the Nar Phu Valley Trekking.

The journey begins with a long drive to Jagat. You will follow one of the popular trekking routes, the Annapurna Circuit trail that joins an off the beaten track from Koto to Nar Phu Valley, north of Manang. The trail then crosses Kang La Pass that connects Nar village with Manang and Neyshang valley. From here onwards, you will again follow the Annapurna Circuit trail and cross Thorong La Pass that leads to Jomsom, the ending point of Nar Phu Valley Trek 19 Days.
